I’m Dr. Jametrice Johnson, founder of Praxis Playbook. With over six years of classroom experience teaching grades 2–8 and a doctorate in educational leadership, I now serve as a Praxis Coordinator in higher education within an educator preparation program, where I also teach Praxis prep courses to support aspiring teachers in reaching their certification goals. Through data-driven strategies and measurable outcomes, I have helped hundreds of aspiring and current educators succeed on their Praxis exams through tailored study plans, one-on-one coaching, and live bootcamps. I am now expanding my reach to address one of the biggest barriers teachers face today: the Praxis exam.

Our vision is to create a nationwide community of well-prepared, confident, and certified educators who are equipped to make an immediate impact in schools. Praxis Playbook aims to redefine test preparation by transforming the way future teachers study, learn, and succeed.
My Why
My journey in education began at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge, where I worked as a summer camp counselor. The experience was deeply rewarding, and from that moment I knew I wanted to pursue a career in education. I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Arts in Teaching, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership.
I started out as an elementary teacher and later became a middle school science teacher before transitioning into my faculty position in higher education as a Praxis Coordinator in the School of Education’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction. My passion for Praxis preparation began with my own path into the profession. As an alternative certification candidate, I joined peers in study groups where we supported one another in preparing for the exams. Having always been a strong test taker, I not only passed my exams but also began tutoring my cohort members who struggled. This experience sparked my love for test preparation and showed me the impact tailored support can have on educators.
Alongside this work, I also established my company, Just Aspire More, LLC in 2025. The name reflects my belief that everything needed to succeed is already within you—you simply have to just aspire more. Born out of both my passion for education and my problem-solving mindset, Just Aspire More, LLC was created as an educational consulting company designed to offer real solutions and to solve real problems.
Today, I have helped hundreds of aspiring and current educators reach their Praxis goals through personalized study plans, workshops, one-on-one coaching, and live bootcamps. I am also branching out with Praxis Playbook because I see a larger problem that needs solving. The national teacher shortage highlights the urgent need for more qualified, certified teachers in classrooms. As a problem-solver, I am committed to addressing this gap by equipping educators with the tools, strategies, and confidence to earn their certification and step into the classroom ready to make a difference.
I am also open to collaborating with schools, districts, and organizations to provide high-quality professional development workshops that address certification needs and support educator success.
